WHAT IS A MANDALA ?
“Mandala” is a term borrowed from the Sanskrit language (India) and literally means “circle”. Mandalas are primarily ritual areas used to evoke Hindu deities. Buddhism, which inherited these practices, also uses mandalas for its rites and meditation practices. In modern times, we refer to these as circular drawings. Often they are an amalgam of various symbols arranged together to represent a concentric circle with great detail.Traditionally, mandalas are created with colored sand, so they are ephemeral works of art that can be destroyed by rain or wind. In modern times, the mandala is simply drawn on a sheet of paper or, even simpler, a symbol already printed is colored with colored pencils.
Softness of the fabric
Polyester fabric, of the microfiber type, has been selected for our ornaments because it has many advantages. Indeed, it benefits from a great flexibility that the so-called natural fibers such as cotton or linen do not have, which can sometimes be rough. This elasticity gives it a great softness. Thus, your comforter cover will always remain pleasant to the touch and cozy. This will also be the case for all your bed linen, sheets, fitted sheets, pillowcases or bolster covers which will be made of this material, or of pure organic cotton. This is all the more important for linens intended for a child’s bed.
No wrinkles
Synthetic fibers, such as polyester or microfiber, offer many qualities. They are much easier to maintain than satin, cotton sateen, flannel or percale. The flexibility of this fabric allows it to unfold easily. No more ironing! You can install your comforter cover directly on your bedding with its pillowcase or pillowcases in the case of a double bed, and you will obtain a magnificent result, without folds that spoil the decorative effect of your bed linen. In the same way, in the morning, your comforter and its cover will be laid out as on the first day with a simple tap.
Composition of the cover
Your modern comforter cover is a superior quality product. Indeed, its seams are reinforced, in order to guarantee its solidity. Its texture is made of high density polyester, microfiber type. The choice of this material allows your printed cover, even reversible, to keep its colors and patterns intact. It is also what gives it its softness and facilitates its maintenance. As a reminder, there is no need to iron it. All our bed sets, with or without flat sheet, have the same characteristics and will easily match any plain fitted sheet.
How to maintain your Mandala comforter cover ?
First of all, it is important to know that all our comforter covers and bed linens have been selected for their polyester construction. Indeed, this microfiber fabric offers an ease of maintenance without equal because it is particularly suitable for machine washing. Feel free to slip your printed cover, sheets and pillowcases into it. Simply set the temperature to 30 or 40 degrees maximum and choose a gentle spin cycle. Use your regular laundry detergent, the same as for your clothes. However, in the case of a bed set for a child’s bed, we recommend a detergent that will respect the fragile skin of young children. Marseille soap is particularly recommended. Thus treated, your linen will come out as new. For drying, you can use a tumble dryer, always at low temperature. However, synthetic fibers are so light and quick to dry that we recommend a simple hanging, if possible in the sun. Your bedding will be ready to be put back on your bedding without delay if you wish. What’s more, your printed bedding doesn’t need to be ironed – no more ironing! Even after several washes, your comforter cover will still be in perfect condition and will give you satisfaction for many nights.
